I'm thankful for my ancestors

My Grandfather came from a family of 13 children. That's him in the bottom right (Joe). This picture was taken in 1946 at the funeral of his father.

Here's one of the 8 surviving brothers. Arthur having already died.
(l-r) Howard, Mel, Alvin, Gordon, Elliot, Frank, Joe, Lester. I cannot imagine what it would have been like to have 9 boys in the family!

And these are the girls.
(l-r) Beatrice, Irene, Great-Grandma Clara, Aunt Clara, Elaine.
Great-Grandma Clara was a twin. Her twin's name was Sarah. Clara, Sarah and another sister, Amanda, along with their mother came to the US through Ellis Island on 05 FEB 1892 on the steamship "Arizona."

WOW! I think mom looks a lot like Beatrice! I also thought our ears were called "Boston Ears". Look at the ears on Grandpa! David definitely has those ears!
