YW camp certification stuff

We were 15 minutes early!!! For teenage girls on a Saturday morning (and taking into account Mormon standard time) that's pretty much a miracle!

Heather is working with the Young Women and its THAT time of year again, when they go hiking.  I went with them.  What was I thinking?  I thought I was going to die!  (Although Andrew says I'm not allowed to say that since he thinks I died twice already.)

 Guess what?  I'm not 12 anymore.  But THEY are...

Hi girls.   hehe.  I can't tell you how many times they had to stop and wait for me.  But I made it farther than any of the other (all two of them) leaders.  Including Heather, I did good!

I only had 2 kids in Primary today. And the lesson manual said we could play follow-the-leader. Giving each child a turn to be the leader. Lame! With only two kids. So we played over and over and over. And when we ran out of lesson we played again. 
Stake Youth Olympics starts this week. I'll be helping with the volleyball scoring again this year.
Bro. Nelson pulled me out of Primary to give me a calling. I'm pretty sure he was supposed to be talking to Heather. I didn't correct him. I just accepted the calling. If they don't correct it later I guess I'll be going to girls camp.

My last Sunday teaching Ponderosa Beehives

Today was my last Sunday teaching the Beehives in the Ponderosa Ward.  What a fun calling it has been!  I'm sure going to miss they're smiling faces, they're silliness and they're non-stop talking!  They're such a great group of girls.  They remind me so much of my own girls at that age.  At the end of class, they changed the words to the Primary Welcome song and sang "Goodbye, Goodbye, we're sad to see you go."  Brought tears to my eyes.  It's a good thing my parents will still be in this ward and I can come back and visit.  I love you guys.

I have a new calling (church job). I'm the Beehive Adviser. Which means I teach the 12 & 13 year old girls. I'm SO excited. YW is my favorite auxiliary and I LOVE teaching. It doesn't get any better than that.

Date Follow-Up

OK. So, I'll start off by saying I met this guy on LDS Singles Online. And needless to say I was a little nervous about meeting him in person. Turns out his sister is in my Ward!!! I had his nieces in Young Women!!!

SMALL SMALL world. (Can you say small in big letters? Is that allowed?) His nephew just went on the same trip to Salt Lake that my girls went on. WEIRD. Sorta' took the "is he a mass murderer" pressure off. What was he like? Tall, smart, very gentlemanly, opening the door and everything. Will I ever have to worry about how he treats me? Nope. And that's REALLY important to me. Any drawbacks? Well, lets just say that he would never survive a game of softball in the pasture at Granny's. Anyone who has ever played games with the Mendenhalls or the Boston sisters will KNOW what I'm talking about. For those of you who haven't - let me just say - alpha females. We would eat . him . alive. Is that important? I don't know yet. Jury's still out. I mean, I don't have to decide after ONE date, right? So, what do you think, how long should I wait before I invite him and his daughter over for a bit of games, blood and carnage?

Naka is teaching the Young Men and Young Women in our ward a Polynesian dance. They are going on a trip to Salt Lake to see General Conference. They will be performing the dance while they are there. Looking goooood guys!

Keri's Personal Progress Project

Keri did a modest fashion show for her 10 (billion) hour project on integrity. She worked her tail off. Got over 80 dresses donated, and 18 YW to model. Made countless phone calls. Drove all over town to collect dresses, pictures and stories. Counseled with numerous leaders for support. Even got Sis. Larson to give up two Saturday mornings to teach a little runway walking. Love you Sis. Larson! Got her brother, Nathan to be our security/priesthood. He gave up 3 Saturday mornings! Got a couple of her high school teachers to attend. And learned a valuable lesson about last minute changes! Keri you did a MARVELOUS job. You're a natural born leader! I love you, Keri!

YO 5-6 Table Tennis

Last night was Youth Olympic Table Tennis singles. Girls vs girls, boys vs boys. Heather had 1 win and 2 losses. You're out after 2 losses. Keri and Kelly both made it to the final 6. Am I allowed to say what the results are? I think I'll wait til after the banquet. Tonight is mixed doubles. One boy, one girl per team. Fun, fun, fun.

1st Event - Volleyball
